Fortnite for Android has indeed become the talk of the town. And everyone appears to be asking one question “When will Fortnite arrive on my device?”. Thanks to Samsung Galaxy Note 9 massive launch, we finally got to see the battle royal game on Android devices (Beta version).

But the Fortnite journey wasn’t an easy one. From delaying Android release against the original commitment of “releasing this summer” to a preliminary estimate of a “30-day exclusive” for Galaxy Note 9 (Huff! Only for three days), Fortnite fans were dishearted from time-to-time.

And to make things worse, the free-to-play the game is not arriving on Google Play Store whereas iOS users continue to break 100 million downloads mark on App Store.

But this is all in the past now. Fortnite Android fans can finally see some light at the end of the tunnel. On the Galaxy Note 9 event, Epic Games shared some fresh information about the Fortnite for Android devices.

Fortnite for Samsung

Under the Samsung and Epic Games deal, Fortnite Samsung exclusivity will remain for three days, shorter than 30 days which some leaks suggested earlier.

So if you hold a Samsung Galaxy device, you can savor the Fortnite mobile version right away.

  • Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus
  • Samsung Galaxy S8/S8 Plus

How to install Fortnite mobile on Samsung devices?

  1. Head over to Samsung Galaxy App Store
  2. Tap on the Fortnite banner or search for the Fortnite app
  3. On the prompted Fortnite download screen, tap on the installer link
  4. Give necessary storage permissions after the Epic installer commerce installation on your Samsung device

The game takes 1.88 GB of your storage. Make sure that you have enough internal storage or an external micro SDcard.

Fortnite for other devices

As for non-Samsung users, the Fortnite beta version will arrive on 13th August to a handful of devices. And a few more in coming weeks.

How to download Fortnite for Android?

You can download the game from Epic Games Fortnite mobile website since it’s not available on Google Play Store.

  1. Go to Fortnite.com and click “Play Free Now.”
  2. Choose the platform – For now, tap on “Mobile.”
  3. Sign up to make an Epic game account
  4. Epic games installer will start downloading
  5. Sign up for the beta invite

Even if you install Fortnite, you won’t be able to play it until receiving an official confirmation on your e-mail. Therefore, it is essential to sign up for the beta program. It might take a few days before your invite gets accepted.
